Veterinarian Transport

Trips to the veterinarian are a routine part of Shelter operations. Several times a week cats and dogs are taken the our vet in Eckert. Primarily these are well cats and dogs who need to be spayed or neutered. For these trips the cat or dog is picked up at the Shelter at 8am, driven to the animal clinic, the picked up about 4:30pm and returned to the Shelter.

Occasionally surgery is needed such as Bronco’s leg amputation following a bullet wound.

Other visits, for non-surgical, medical care, are by appointment.

To volunteer for transporting to the veterinarian you need for be comfortable transporting cats in carriers and/or have a means to transport dogs in your vehicle.

ps…..Bronco has been adopted and is doing great with his new family.
